Nothing but liars

My first experience with aspen roofing out of Missouri was in November 2015 in Las Cruces New Mexico. At the time they were hit with a catastrophic Hailstorm.

I was working with a local contractor three generations local grandfather, father, and now son. I received a call from one of my clients one day saying that two men from Aspen I just left their home claiming to be local (which they're not) and that I was not local (which I was) I had a advertisement sign in the front yard and sign contract which they were trying to get my client to break. My client told him they chased him off the property and not to come back. A couple days later I get another call from a different client with the same story.

At that point I called Aspen corporate offices in Mo, filed a complaimy with the sales manager never heard back from anybody. This practice continued for several months. Jump forward to August of this year Las Vegas New Mexico was hit with a catastrophic events I've been working in Las Vegas for the past four years as a roofer. I saw an aspirin truck roll in, at that point I rolled up to him told him that this is a no door knocking community and that they are not welcomed here and it was not gonna work out for them.

A couple days later I saw third and fourth Aspen truck in the neighborhood. At that point I contacted the city informed them of what was going on they said they were aware and had received calls complaints from local residents regarding their solicitation that's your door. At that point I called Aspen corporate offices they directed me to the local manager who I spoke with at that point he told me that he had a referral and I reply to a text three trucks from Texas to handle one referral which was a blatant lie.

I put another call into Aspen corporate I spoke to Pat the president or CEO of Aspen shared my concerns with his company being in the city and the normal door knocking ordinances and the need to cease-and-desist right away I won't be since I've opened offices get to the door knock they tell the city that there are not door knocking and they continue to get complaints from local residents they are straight liars *** bags they'll be here for a year pack up after they're done leave local residents without any representation or repair warranties. Do not use them they are scammers.

How long do you think it would take your company of 5 or 6 guys to repair all the roofs that were damaged? 5 years?

10 years? How bout you just keep working on your jobs and mind your own business? The only reason you "get your jobs taken away" is because these other companies, Aspen included have so much more to offer.

Maybe you should knock on doors to warn everyone that this evil empire has arrived!

But then you'd have to actually work.

It's too funny you can't spot the other out of town guys and focus on the guys that know what they're doing.

You "local" guys get an extra 10-20% of jobs due to the "stormers" getting a roof approved and then the homeowner decides he wants to give the local Chuck in a truck the job. So for many of your jobs, Your Welcome!

Lack of communication

Aspen Contracting - Lack of communication
shingles put down before metal edge then wrong color and/or neglect of replacing metal edge after 3 1/2 weeks metal edge finally replaced holes in Ice and water from roofing nails. requested replacement of entire roof or written proof roof would not be compromised three weeks now and can still lift edge of shingle and see the plywood on my roof because shingle are not sealed proof there is not synthetic barrier laying on roof prior to shingling because roof plywood is visible when you lift the shingles. lifting shingles to replace metal edge caused shingles to lift and not reseal, wind and rain blow in under shingles causing roof to get water soaked and rotting form rain and snow blowing in under unsealed shingles. metal edge was to be place prior to shingles going down not after they are in place. this job was done backwards at whose expense. I will not recommend this company to anyone and sorry I chose them. my job was started may 29th and today 10 july still not completed.

Makes promises they can't deliver

The sales person, James, signed up a ton of houses in our neighborhood. They made promises to several of our neighbors about timelines that they were unable to deliver on and nearly cost us the sale of our home. The siding was sitting in our driveway for weeks while we watched other homes who signed after us be completed. One excuse after another about the delays. We only signed with them because James promised all work would be done by August 1. Here we are in mid-Sept and siding is not even started. VERY dissatisfied with the customer service.

Buyer Beware

Roofing replaced Trash and nails left in the yard. I cleaned it up when my calls were ignored.

Now, 5 years later, the shingles are coming off! I've called and emailed since May.

Per Aspen, they will only patch the 'bad spots.' When 'the wind blows more off' they will look at it again. Buyer Beware!!!!!

ASPEN ROOFING, here in central Illinois, is a company that seems to have 90% illegals working for them. Makes me sick that people even use this company.

The higher ups drive around in what appears to be $100,000 trucks, while the workers don't even appear to have been in America for more than 2 or 3 weeks. The complaints going around town seem to be consistent, I say there is some dirty dealings underneath the surface of this "company". Hire American workers, instead of trying to save a few dollars. I'm ready for I.C.E.

to save my community, and my job. It should be illegal to hire Illegals, and I hope everyone who does, gets rained on.

These guys are scam artists. They came out to my in-laws neighborhood in Chester and told their neighbor their roof was in bad shape and needed immediate repair.

They told my in-laws that their roof had damage and that if they didn't get it repaired now that their insurance wouldn't cover the repair since they now know about the damage.

He even showed them pictures of the "damage". They got another person out who said their roofs weren't in bad shape and didn't need to be repaired.

Give us ur name then because we tried to call severa "local"l contractors and no one would come out but Aspen & we are meeting our adjuster next week.

Try the telephone book or chamber for roofers. Annie's list.

I had zero problems. When appendages so does the warranty because they are spreadsheets.@

I agree with anonymous, i live in Chester VA and suffered hail damage from February's storm, Aspen would not provide an estimate to replace our roof and demanded to see our insurance settlement stating their cost is based upon what we receive. We chose a local roofing contractor not someone that blew in with the storm.

We appreciate your feedback @Chester Resident. The insurance documentation is just as useful to our bidding your job at it is to you.

It helps us to understand the scope of loss and repairs the insurance company noticed at inspection. We can also help make sure your adjuster did not miss any materials or labor items to make sure you got the correct disbursement for repairs needed. It is possible to way over-bid your insurance project and we are trying to provide the correct service at the right price as well.

We want to partner with homeowners in the insurance process to streamline the claims process.

Glad you found someone you are comfortable working with and we wish you the best of luck in your home renovation!

We are sorry you feel that way . Aspen is a nationally recognized roofing contractor and we have several local offices through-out the country.

We have been in business for over 10 years, are a A+ member of the Better Business Bureau and several recognized roofing organizations like Midwest Roofing Contractors Association, National Roofing Contractors Association and we are a preferred contractor with many suppliers. We are happy to provide references, license and insurance information as requested and take pride in our customer service.

The illegals working for this company are drinking overnight and using cocaine before they go do the roofs. I am directly related to a worker and know first hand they do this.

Speaking with their manager has done nothing because he doesnt do anything about it. Infact he has a suspended license and continues to drive to all his jobs also. They dont drug screen their workers. Plain dont trust it at all.

They also as managers keep as much money for themselves as they can and skim off pocket change to pay them. And they take 3 or 4 weeks or whenever they get around to paying them for their work.

Unfortunately that is some inaccurate information you are sharing, but you are free to write or say what you wish. Our record as a nationally acclaimed contractor and a member of several industry organizations and the BBB speaks otherwise.

This is absolutely true for Aspen Exteriors in Minnesota which is who I am referring to. They hire illegals and not the white boys to work on the roofs.

White men sell the jobs. Don't kid yourself. I have known about all this nonsense that goes on behind bbb. No one knows what goes on behind the scenes.

I know that for a fact because they don't drug test when they hire. They have their subcontractors go out and pick up dudes that they have worked with for years or jumped the border yesterday. I have known this as the truth for 8 years and they have slowed way down due to the lack of accountability and consistency with management. Sending in pictures of the roof and jobs it via text doesn't make anyone a star subcontractor or manager.

There's more to it than that like going to the job sites and checking for yourself.

Just opening eyes here on this. This is a true problem.

Sent over a bunch of illegals to butcher up a roof. May as well of used velcro or elmers school glue would have held better than missing all the nail lines. My lil niece can roof better. How much you pay them for this abomination after you bottomfeeders took your cut. Apparently not enough to cover the cost of nails. I could chuck a shingle from the ground and hit the roof almost every time! Doesnt mean its gonna stick. Buy a book or something bottomfeeders

Aspen Contracting - Make America Great Again Review

What Aspen is about a total front the salesman comes to your town set's up in a year office lease bring's illegal aliens and destroy's the American roofing industry. Stick with your local contractor do not trust Aspen they are pro's in brainwashing. You could always charge them for your time if they knock at your door tell them you charge 100.00 per hour for them to inspect the roof. Don't even tell them just send them a bill make sure you got a visable private property policy under the constistution.

Us local roofers that try our best to protect our areas, wish you scammers would leave! You guys give a bad name to the roofing industry.

Not to mention your outrageous BS supplements you send to insurance companies is unethical. Thanks to you guys I'm sure we'll see insurance increases in the Raleigh, NC area. And one other thing, you guys are ridiculous by telling homeowners you'll waive their deductibles!

Congrats on committing insurance fraud. Please LEAVE ad go find another area.

Most local roofers have no idea how to work with the insurance companies. Being the local boy you give the homeowner a bid and leave money on the table that the homeowner is entitled to.

Go cry somewhere else. Most of the local boys are lazy and takes them twice as long to do a roof job.

Horrible Job

Horrible company. They did very bad job on our roof (Munster, IN), that's why it was leaking, since it was on warranty we called them last year and they "fixed" it.

For some reason we realized that our walls cracked, we thought it's because of our old plaster walls. We called the contractors to put a drywall in our house, but after we got rid of plaster walls it started raining, and we realized the reason why our walls cracked. Guess what? YES!

OUR ROOF IS LEAKING! That's why it cost us a fortune to replace a plaster walls. Before we put a dry wall , we called Aspen, to fix our roof, other wise the new walls gonna crack again. We already have scheduled an appointment with contractors for our walls for Wednesday (November, 9th 2016), which we had to cancel, since no one was responding our phone calls at Aspen, or they kept saying they will come to look on our roof "tomorrow".

We end up calling State Farm to estimate the damage of our walls and find the reason of leakage, 2 experts agree that Aspen did a horrible job on flashing, thats why we also have cracked walls and sighs of water damage in our kitchen. After we called Aspen again ( Just imagine it's almost winter and we have no walls, and can't hang a drywall before they will fix our roof, and they keep telling us 'tomorrow'), ASPEN said they coming to fix our roof on Saturday, November 12th at noon, so we called dry wall contractors to come on Monday to put a drywall. And, guess what? on Saturday i took a day off from work and was waiting for "roofers" but no call no show again!!!!!!

My husband called them and said he will look for a lawyer if they won't show on Sunday because we have a "drywall appointment" on Monday, and YES, THEY DID SHOW UP, but NO they didn't fix our roof! 3 Guys came to tell us "we have a flashing problem", really?! They didn't fix anything and left. We would call another company but our roof is on warranty and we paying already so much for a drywall because of their horrible job, why do we have to pay again?!!

Now my husband had to call drywall contractors and cancel our appointment to put a drywall for tomorrow, since we can't do anything until they fix our roof! Drywall contractors are furious, they charged us for the day we hired them since we had appointment. we seriously looking for a lawyer tomorrow.

WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THAT?!!!! ZERO STARS, are you KIDDING ME?!

Worst Company contractor I have ever dealt with. Here what he said to us after we receive 4 seperste bids and didn't choose Aspen. If I were them If FIRE HIM Good for you being an agent. Not sure what difference that makes. And yes you would have zero dollars to spend on roof, gutters , deck if I didn't make it happen. You're thank you's don't pay my bills. The only thing you have done is wasted my time and actually cost me money in the process of helping you out. Now the riders that got handed a job that I made happen could sure thank me. I could care less about the money really, it's the fact that you got some cheap as *** bid to put money in your pocket and didn't even give me a chance to go over everything with you. Pretty dirty. Best of luck. We got four bids for our job and never put a dime in our pocket bids were only $40 difference but we got more work done with a local company. I've never been treated so poorly by a company in my life! I give them an " F"rating based on there sales person Ben.

We live Littke Rock as well and had Aspen do our roof. They actually did about half our neighborhood in Pebble Beach Estates.

We worked with a sales rep named Ben and he was great! I even thanked him for helping spruce up the neighborhood with all new roofs! I say give that guy a raise! Fire him?

No way!....if it's the same person.

This Aspen rep was fit and very easy on the eyes! We have recommended Ben and Aspen to everyone we know!

Being lied, cheated, hurassed, threatened, etc..

I would "not" recommend Aspen to anyone they change paper work to fit their needs, try to charge you more than what's owed, they scam not only homeowners but also the insurance companies, & the banks. No reliable communication.

Aspen does not take responsibility for their actions. Aspen changes employees like no other. There people skills is very unprofessional. This company went door to door just looking for people to accept.

They have lied to just about all parties involved.

They refused to give copies of changed paper work by them. All in All this company "Aspen" like to scam everyone.

"so please don't believe a word they say.

Could not have gone better!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences with Aspen. My family needed a new roof badly. It had recently started to leak and was losing shingles whenever there was a big wind storm, which is very common in my area. Jesse Milich was our Aspen rep. He came out, assessed the damage, and helped us file our home insurance claim. He was there every step of the way, from meeting with the insurance adjuster to the actual installation of the roof itself. The communication was fantastic. He was constantly in touch via email, text and phone calls. They planned starting the project according to the weather forecast - when there was a sunny few days they were scheduled to come out. On the first day of the project, a team of 2 arrived promptly at 7am and got to work tearing off our old roof. By noon, the tear down was almost complete. This was a HUGE project, as it ended up that there were 5 total layers on our roof! Another 3 team members joined at this point and worked solid until 6pm-ish, when they came down and started their clean up for the day. In the morning, the original 2 members returned and finished putting the rest of the roof on and were completely gone by noon. There was not a sign of them left behind. They cleaned up all of the debris. The only remains were our brand new amazing roof! A few days later, another contractor from Aspen contacted us to come and repair some drywall in a closet that had been damaged by the leaking. He worked with our ever-changing schedule, was prompt, and did an amazing job restoring the closet back to perfection. By comparison, a neighbor two houses down is having his roof replaced as I type this. The team has been there three days so far and is not even close to being finished. The poor guys yard is a MESS -- all his plants are trampled and there are shingles all over - even out in the street!!! He should have called Aspen! Lastly, Jesse Milich was also beyond helpful when it came to getting the payment from the insurance taken care of. All of the paperwork was prepared for us - we just had to sign some documents and he took care of all of the rest. This could have been a miserable, expensive, time consuming home improvement experience, but it could not have been any smoother. I know I will not hesitate to call them again if I ever have another contracting project that I need a professional company to perform.
